Napping in the Middle of the Day
Well, I thought I had posted this photo up. But I was talking to my BIL, Steve and he told me I hadn't. So I thought I would share it with you. Eli took this photo and thought I looked cute all passed out in the middle of the day. Funny fact: when the flash went off I kind of woked up, rolled over as I grunted and said "what the..."

Catching Up
Let's start off with Mike! Mike is in port... somewhere! They will be leaving that port in a few days and then they will be heading to another country to drop off the marines. Float around for a week or so, then back to picking up the marines. And what every navy/marine wife likes to hear, they will be on their way home. Stopping off in a few countries for supplies and stuff like that. On August 4th, it will be the half way point... which is really exciting!! Since Mike has been in port for a few days he has called me. I love hearing his voice! After going for like 2 weeks to a month without talking, just e-mailing. It gets really exciting! I get all happy when I see a unknown caller or a really weird number. It makes my heart beat really fast. He is in the desert, kind of. So when he told me he was going snowboarding, I was like don't you mean sandboard? He told me no, snowboarding. Apparently a mall over there has an indoor ski place. Here are some photos; it looks really cool.Well, I have 5 weeks till Kaiden is born. It's pretty exciting! I had a doctor appt. this morning. Everything went well. They took my weight it was 135lbs; I'm not a total fatty... yet. My first visit to Dr. Goldstein, I weighed 111lbs. They told me to do my best and not go over 25 pounds. So I have 1 pound to gain before I reach my weight "limit", but I'm sure if I go over, it will be no big deal; especially with only 5 weeks to go. What else, Kaiden's head is in the right position. His heart rate was 130, I suppose that's good. My blood pressure was 60/100, is that good? Oh and they measured my uterus; 35 inches. Everything is great! And I guess I have a few stretch marks below my belly button. Compared to most woman, I only have a few; that's what my doctor told me!
My Mami is coming to visit! She flies from Costa Rica to Florida on Friday, the 1st. She'll be visiting my sister Lydia for her birthday. Then on the 5th my Mami will be on her way to Kentucky to visit my Granny. I'm sure they will do a bunch of shopping, quilt making and talking. Then on the 18th she'll be on her way over here to San Diego. I'm really excited and looking forward to having my Mami come stay for a while!
So far that is everything I know. Oh, please keep my Mami in pray with all her little travels. And my Papi, he still has a lot of work to be done. Thank you!

Shopping for Mike
Well, I didn't really shop for Mike. I shopped for the stuff that Mike wanted me to buy for Kaiden... because he wanted them. Mike wants our baby to have everything!
Mike told me awhile ago to buy Kaiden a swing. So I went out today and bought a swing for our little man. Its called a rain forest swing. It has 7 different soothing rain forest songs and it has 5 different speeds and its portable. So hopefully Kaiden is one of those babies that like chilling in a swing. I think it's totally adorable!! Mike also wanted a baby back pack, so I bought one today. I took a few photos, I'll gladly post them up. The baby back pack photos, are a little funny. I had to show Mike what it would look like with a little man in it. So I put Rufus in it. For those who do not know Rufus... he is my teddy bear, Mike gave him to me for our first Valentines day.

A Friend Needs Help...
I have a friend who needs help & prayer. Her name is Chandler Tomayko. We have been friend for 5 to 7 years. Her and her family are warm and caring people! Chandler sent out an e-mail asking for help, I have decided to post the e-mail on my blog; hoping and praying those who read my blog will be moved to help or even pray for Chandler and her family. This e-mail is brief and to the point. Please take a moment to read it and do what you think is right in your heart.
For English Speakers:
I was born in Fort Worth Texas. I lived there with my mother and younger sister until 1997. My sister’s father was verbally, emotionally and physically aggressive toward all 3 of us for several years. My mother in fearing for her life and ours, left her family, profession, home and lifestyle behind to move to a country where we knew no one. Costa Rica.
We have lived in Costa Rica for the past 11 years. Mom got married. I now have 2 more sisters and 2 stepsisters. The United States is attempting to extradite my mother on international parental kidnapping charges. My mother has been incarcerated for almost 11 months here in Costa Rica fighting the extradition charges.
My family is my Mother, Chere Tomayko (46), my stepfather, Javier Montero (51), myself, Chandler Tomayko (21), my sisters Alexandria Tomayko (19), Mariela Montero (16), Carolina Montero (14), Sophia Montero (8) and Arianna Montero (5).
It is unjust for them to persecute a woman for protecting her children, is that not what we expect mothers to do? My mother is being persecuted and my family is being torn apart. I am asking anyone with a sense of family and love to join our cause and help me in petitioning against the extradition of my mother and allowing her to come home.
Please send this to everyone you know. If you would like more information please contact me.

You Could Have Heard A Pin Drop
When in England, at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building' by George Bush.
He answered by saying, 'Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.'
You could have heard a pin drop.
There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking part, including French and American. During a break, one of the French engineers came back into the room saying ‘Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intended to do, bomb them?’
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: ‘Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?'
You could have heard a pin drop.
A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S., English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies... At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of Officers that included personnel from most of those countries. Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks, but a French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English. He then asked, 'Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?'
Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied 'Maybe it's because the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German’.
You could have heard a pin drop.
AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE...
Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on.
'You have been to France before, monsieur?' the customs officer asked sarcastically. Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously. ‘Then you should know enough to have your passport ready.’ The American said, ‘the last time I was here, I didn't have to show it.’ ‘Impossible, Americans always have to show your passports on arrival in France!' The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained, ‘well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn't find a single Frenchmen to show a passport to.'
You could have heard a pin drop.

A little update
I had a doctor's appt. the other day. Dr. Goldstein measured my tummy it was 30 inches. And I weighed 128lbs... which means I've only gained 17 pounds so that's always nice to hear! Kaiden's heart beat was very strong. As Mike would say... his a good boy!
Kaiden likes to really move around a stretch and kick... oh the kicking really hurts sometimes! He likes pushing up against my tummy also. I say he is just working out; like is daddy!! Oh the other day I was lying in bed starring at my chines lantern, when I felt the weirdest feeling ever. Kaiden had the hiccups. At first i wasn't sure what it was, but it was a repetitive "thump" so i figured it was hiccups. But just to make sure I called my Mami to ask. It was so cool!!
Mike is floating around somewhere. He'll be in port soon. I'll get to talk to him when he gets to whatever port he is headed too. He says he is burning up all the time. Of course he is, he works on the flight deck, he gets a lot of sun all the time! He'll be home in 18 weeks (126 days)!!!
Today, I went to base to put Mike's car in long term parking, which is on the dry side. It will be safer so that's a good thing. I don't want anything bad to happen to Mike's car. I was with Sarah most of the morning. She went with me to drop off Mikes car. Eli can't get on base, so he just stayed home. After we parked Mike's car, we went to the other side of the base (wet side). I went to the college office to figure some stuff out and Sarah went to the Navy Recruiting office. She's joining the navy!! She'll become an officer in 2 years... so that's always good for her.
Tonight as I was sitting on the couch watching TV re-runs and knitting. My tummy really started to itch. I got up and walked to my bed room; grabbed a little mirror and looks at my tummy... the only part that is not visible to me. And what did I find... that's right stretch marks!! I have done everything to prevent them, but yet they have found away across my tummy!! So far that is all the news I have to share. Nothing really exciting ever happens. Well Except that Kaiden has found his new favorite place to stretch, push and lay down... my hips!!
