Road Trip - Waynesboro, PA

Road Trip... July 13 - July 15
Well, Mike & I had been talking about Kaiden and I driving down to Thurmont area, to where he will be stationed come September, to find a home for us. We don't like playing around, we take things pretty serious. And since all our stuff is in storage and the only way to have them ship to us was to have a address. And I wanted to make sure all our belongings arrived before Mike did. That way I could set up the house and Mike could actually enjoy his vacation leave without having things to worry about.
Mike didn't feel comfortable me driving down by myself, but I was going to do it. But my wonderful parents told me they would be more then happy to join Kaiden & I, that way Mike would be at ease. So my parents arrived in Warren on July 12th, then we took off the next morning. It was a five hour drive, the scenery was amazing! Of course we didn't exactly go to Waynesboro at first. Mike had looked up online some town homes he wanted me to check out in Gettysburg. So on July 14th we wondered Gettysburg in search of the town homes Mike suggested, but the town homes either didn't exist (vacant) or were shady looking. So after looking at the town homes Mike suggested, we took off to Waynesboro which was only 45 minutes away. I had seen a new development online and wanted to check it out. So after driving around Waynesboro and finally finding the new development and talking to the manager, we went to find ourselves a hotel for the evening. Of course I was in love with the town homes and just wanted to talk to Mike about it and get his approval. Since I loved it so much and no one had ever lived in the townhouse that was being offered Mike said YES! So I went back a few hours later after talking to Mike about all the things the manager told me. It was a good feeling knowing in a month Kaiden & I will be in our own home.
The townhouse is call Avalon Town Homes. Its two floors, 1st: dinning area, kitchen that opens to the living room, half bath. 2nd: master bedroom with bathroom, 2nd bedroom, din/office, laundry closet and bathroom. I'll post photos after we move in... its amazing!
We took off to Warren on July 15, took our time driving back. We took a different route home, apparently doesn't matter which route you take, the scenery is amazing!!

Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July!
Today we did a lot of fun stuff! Angie had the day off so we spent the day driving around and keeping busy with Kaiden. We took Kaiden to a park, he had such a blast. He rode in a white little car, on a crocodile and I rode on it too. Then Kaiden and I did the see-saw, he was soo excited and happy about it. Angie & Kaiden did the slide together, he had such a blast going down the slide with his Grandma. There was a little creek or river next to the park, so we went over there and waded through the water. I pointed out the little fishes that swam next to our feet.

We went up to this really beautiful over look place. This is the town of Warren, half of the town at least. The view was amazing!!After we went to the over look place. We were driving down a steep and winding road when we saw a snapping turtle! I was afraid for its safety and wanted to help him out. But I was scared it was going to bit me so I tried to scare it off... it also smelt really bad. So we called up Uncle Tom and told him about the turtle and he drove up to save it.

After all the turtle excited, we stopped at a store to buy some fireworks... simple and kinda harmless ones. That way Kaiden could have fun and do some fireworks. We had chines poppers, snakes or cobras, sparkles and champagne popper things.
