The Tent

Mike & I had been talking about how Kaiden needed new toys. Since he doesn't play with the ones he has. So we decided to go buy him new stuff and storge his old stuff and just rotate his toys every 6 months. So we saw this tent/tunnel play thing. Its huge, takes up like a fourth of our living room. But it was well worth it. Kaiden totally loves it. He plays, eats, reads books in it. He calls it "my house". Well also got him other stuff, but the tint was a hit!

Thunder Storms, Fire Trucks & Police Cars

This evening we had a thunder storm. But before it started thundering it was just raining like crazy. So I said "Its raining cats & dogs" Kaiden looked up at me a bit confused and said "Cats & dogs, I go see dog rain". It gave me the biggest smile on my face because he is so adorable!
Then it started to thunder. The thunder got really loud and then there was a "clap" sound; Kaiden looked at me, gasped and said "I scared" so I told him "Don't be scared baby, its just God getting after someone for being bad" Kaiden laughed and said "okay"
Then a little bit later there was fire trucks and police cars sirens going bonkers. Kaiden heard the fire truck sirens, so he ran to the patio door, saw it speeding by and said "Mommy fire truck, Daddy's truck". A few seconds later a police car followed, Kaiden got all excited and said "Papas car. Papa see me"

Its a good thing that Kaiden knows what his Daddy and his Papa drive when they are working.

Time to Potty

Feb. 11 - The first day. After like a year of trying every way to teach Kaiden to use the toilet, I decided to use the naked method. And it worked!
Mike was gone for a whole weekend and I figured maybe I should just do it with out help. That way it might be easier on Kaiden... not having two people asking him "need go potty?". SO I started on a Friday. Kaiden woke up at 6 like usual, the moment he got out of bed his diaper and every other item of clothing came off. I sat his training potty in the living room. I did sit it in front of the TV. All I did was every so often ask him if he needed to go, when he would tell me no I would then remind him he has nothing on and that he better not pee on my floor. Which scared him into sitting on the little potty and giving it a shot. After he peed on his little potty and got a mini marshmallows, which after a few times and a few mini marshmallows he really got the hang of going. But he spend the whole day sitting on it... didn't want to play he was so worried of making a mess. He had two little accidents today.
Feb. 12 - Our morning was the same as Feb. 11. This time Kaiden cried and told me he wanted a diaper on and he didn't want to sit on the potty. He even brought me a few of his diapers and cried for me to put them on him saying "mommy please diaper on me". I of course did not back down and told him he would be alright and that this was a good thing. He stopped crying and said "OK". And hung around the potty. He had one little accident.
Feb. 13 - Same as the morning before. But this time he is actually playing and doing his normal routine. And running to the potty, sitting down and going. No accidents.
Feb. 17 - Doing good so far. Today we put big boy underwear on him and he had an accident, but learned that it is not a diaper. He also told us he had to go after realizing he can't go in underwear.
Feb. 25 - Kaiden is a pro at the potty now. He tells us when he needs to go and he loves to flush his stuff down the toilet and e loves to wash his hands.
March 8 - Kaiden has been a potty pro for almost a month now. He holds it when we are out, wears underwear and he is teaching himself to wake up at night to use the bathroom. I wasn't going to teach Kaiden that for about 2 months. But he is teaching himself, so that's good!

If you have tired everything to potty train your kiddos, but nothing has worked and you haven't tired this yet... you really should!

Four Years

Its crazy to look back four years and to picture us standing on a sailboat in the middle of the San Diego bay as we said "I do". Its been four amazing years and I still get butterflies in my tummy when he walks through the front door. He is my best friend, my love and my babies daddy. He is kind, loving and a bit rough around the edges, but he is mine and he is perfect! And I love him so very much... Baby, I wuv you!!

Today we went to Frederick... to wonder the mall and to have lunch. Of course we took our babies with us! We had thought about going bowling with the babies, but it completely slipped our minds. Which was perfectly fine! Instead we just had a relaxing evening and enjoyed each others company. As we talked about our future together.
