A Little Update
On Friday, the 15th of August; my sister Eden & niece Olyvia arrived in San Diego. On Monday, the 18th of August; my Mami arrived in San Diego after she visited with my sister Lydia & her husband Eric in Flordia. And after visiting with my Granny in Kentucky. Everything is going good so far. No one has tried to kill anyone just yet, LOL. Lyvi is as cute as a button like she has been since birth. Her little curls and big blue eyes... absolutely beautiful! Eden & Lyvi were planning to stay for a month or until Kaiden decided to arrive. But plans have changed like they do in life. They will soon be on their way to TX for a few months. My understanding is that their new little home is ready for them to move into. I'm not sure how much longer they will be in San Diego. Mami is making herself quite at home! Of course she is planning to stay for a nice long visit, a month after Kaiden is born. Which Mike & I greatly appreciate! We have been hanging out all together. Yeni, Eli, Eden, Olyvia, Mami & I have had several lunches and dinners together. We have even gone to the beach & Sea World. Its been fun! Well, for me nothing is a lot of fun lately since fun for me consist of eating, sleeping and being lazy, LOL. But it's been fun so far!

Accident after Accident
Well, I have another accident to report. Just to start it all off, everyone is fine! Eli & I were driving back home from Wal*Mart. I see a Taco Bell sign so I'm thinking about the big stuff Chicken Asado burrito for 79 cents. I get into the turning lane, there are a lot of cars coming so I'm just relaxing waiting for a nice long clearing. Cars start to pile up behind me as I wait. Finally there is a clearing, but I always wait a few minutes before I pull out; just to make sure. The car behind me honks so I get a little nervous and I start to drive into the parking lot. I'm passing two lanes to get to the lot; going a mire 5mph. When all of a sudden Eli was like "Becca!" I slightly turn my head towards him when I see this bicyclist trying to stop as I am putting on my breaks. The guy hits my car and I stop completely, I realize I covered my eyes as he goes flying over my car. I freak out! Put my car in park, with half of it in incoming traffic. Get out of my car to make sure the guy is alright. I can't stop apologizing and asking him if he is alright and if he needs to go to the hospital. He tells me his alright as he takes his time to stand up. I tell him that I'm going to move my car in the parking lot and I'd be right back. Eli is helping him up and asking him again if he is alright. The guy walks away with a bruise and some scratches. But his bike got broken in half and my passenger mirror got beat up and I have some dents and I need a new paint coat. We exchanged information. I felt so awful and was not sure what to do, that I offered to take him home; which I did. He realizes I'm pregnant and ask me if I'm alright, when I'm due and if I need to go to the hospital. I tell him that I'm pretty sure I'm alright! I drop him off at his home, I drive back to my home. I'm in tears and just don't want to talk to anyone. I tell Mike what happened by e-mail and he tells me it's alright, to figure everything out and to relax. I call my insurance. Then I get a phone call from the guy I hit, he tells me his filling a report. I'm a little confused and distrait, because since no one got injure I didn't think we had to fill out a police report. So I politely give him the information he asked for. Then I called my father-in-law to inform him and to ask for some advise, given the fact that his a state trooper. He tells me this and that and tells me to stay calm. He was a big help! I then called the San Diego police department to ask some questions and report the accident. The lady I spoke with informed me that she had just spoken with the guy and that we don't need to fill a report, because no one was injured. So that was a major relief. So tomorrow, I am taking my car in for repairs and my insurance should cover his bike. Of course I called my doctor, but I had to leave a message. I'm sure I'm going to be on house arrest or band from driving for the rest of my pregnancy! So with all that said here are some photos of my car...

Falling In The Shower
Last Monday, August 4th, I fell in the shower! I'm not very coroperative, I was told to sit when I wash my feet. But since I have always had great balance I didn't listen. So I slipped a little and landed on my butt. I sat on the shower floor for a few minutes talking to my tummy and making sure Kaiden was alright. I didn't hit my tummy in any way, but if he didn't move when I talked to him I would have known something was up. I called my doctor's office, no one answered the phone so I went about my day. I didn't think of just going into trioge. So I called the next morning and told Diana (she answers the phones) what had happen and if I should come in for a brief check up. Of course being 34 weeks along and only having 5 weeks to go, they thought it would be best to go in. Everything is alright!!

US Navy stops pirate attack in Gulf of Aden
August 8, 2008:
MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) — The U.S. Navy says it has stopped a pirate attack on a merchant vessel north of Somalia in the Gulf of Aden.
The Navy says the USS Peleliu responded to a call for help from the Gem of Kilakari on Friday morning. The ship said it was under attack from armed pirates as it was traveling to the Suez Canal.
The Navy's Bahrain-based 5th Fleet said in a statement that the USS Peleliu was about 10 miles (16 kilometers) from the Gem of Kilakari when it received the distress call.
The Navy says the suspected pirate ships fled the scene after the USS Peleliu launched three helicopters. The Navy says one grenade landed on the Gem of Kilakari's bridge wing but didn't explode, and no injuries were reported.

Napping in the Middle of the Day
Well, I thought I had posted this photo up. But I was talking to my BIL, Steve and he told me I hadn't. So I thought I would share it with you. Eli took this photo and thought I looked cute all passed out in the middle of the day. Funny fact: when the flash went off I kind of woked up, rolled over as I grunted and said "what the..."

Catching Up
Let's start off with Mike! Mike is in port... somewhere! They will be leaving that port in a few days and then they will be heading to another country to drop off the marines. Float around for a week or so, then back to picking up the marines. And what every navy/marine wife likes to hear, they will be on their way home. Stopping off in a few countries for supplies and stuff like that. On August 4th, it will be the half way point... which is really exciting!! Since Mike has been in port for a few days he has called me. I love hearing his voice! After going for like 2 weeks to a month without talking, just e-mailing. It gets really exciting! I get all happy when I see a unknown caller or a really weird number. It makes my heart beat really fast. He is in the desert, kind of. So when he told me he was going snowboarding, I was like don't you mean sandboard? He told me no, snowboarding. Apparently a mall over there has an indoor ski place. Here are some photos; it looks really cool..jpg)

Well, I have 5 weeks till Kaiden is born. It's pretty exciting! I had a doctor appt. this morning. Everything went well. They took my weight it was 135lbs; I'm not a total fatty... yet. My first visit to Dr. Goldstein, I weighed 111lbs. They told me to do my best and not go over 25 pounds. So I have 1 pound to gain before I reach my weight "limit", but I'm sure if I go over, it will be no big deal; especially with only 5 weeks to go. What else, Kaiden's head is in the right position. His heart rate was 130, I suppose that's good. My blood pressure was 60/100, is that good? Oh and they measured my uterus; 35 inches. Everything is great! And I guess I have a few stretch marks below my belly button. Compared to most woman, I only have a few; that's what my doctor told me!
My Mami is coming to visit! She flies from Costa Rica to Florida on Friday, the 1st. She'll be visiting my sister Lydia for her birthday. Then on the 5th my Mami will be on her way to Kentucky to visit my Granny. I'm sure they will do a bunch of shopping, quilt making and talking. Then on the 18th she'll be on her way over here to San Diego. I'm really excited and looking forward to having my Mami come stay for a while!
So far that is everything I know. Oh, please keep my Mami in pray with all her little travels. And my Papi, he still has a lot of work to be done. Thank you!

Shopping for Mike
Well, I didn't really shop for Mike. I shopped for the stuff that Mike wanted me to buy for Kaiden... because he wanted them. Mike wants our baby to have everything!
Mike told me awhile ago to buy Kaiden a swing. So I went out today and bought a swing for our little man. Its called a rain forest swing. It has 7 different soothing rain forest songs and it has 5 different speeds and its portable. So hopefully Kaiden is one of those babies that like chilling in a swing. I think it's totally adorable!! Mike also wanted a baby back pack, so I bought one today. I took a few photos, I'll gladly post them up. The baby back pack photos, are a little funny. I had to show Mike what it would look like with a little man in it. So I put Rufus in it. For those who do not know Rufus... he is my teddy bear, Mike gave him to me for our first Valentines day.
